Sport Audiobooks in November

Lewis MoodyWe’ve got some great names in our talkSPORT My Sporting Life range in November and December.

Sit back and listen as ex-England rugby captain Lewis Moody looks back over his phenomenal career, from his time at Leicester Tigers and Bath to playing in the historic 2003 World Cup victory and finally captaining his country. A great listen for all rugby union fans.

Next we have Britain’s only undefeated boxing world champion Joe Calzaghe. Described by Ricky Hatton as ‘the best British fighter we’ve ever had’, his record of 46 wins and 0 defeats speaks for itself. Join Joe as he reminisces about his incredible career.

Football fans are well catered for in November and December with Rodney Marsh, Tommy Doherty, Dennis Tueart and Tony Woodcock all making appearances in the My Sporting Life range.

A further two programmes which will appeal to those who are interested in matters off the football field are from former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan and manager Neil Warnock. Hear how Jordan’s life-long love of Crystal Palace (with a little help from a fortune made in the mobile phone market) made him the youngest chairman of a Football League club at the age of 32 and how his 10 turbulent years at the helm ended in Palace going into administration in 2010.

Former Crystal Palace manager (and current Leeds manager) Neil Warnock recounts his long and illustrious career in football, from humble beginnings playing for Chesterfield and Rotherham in the late Sixties and early Seventies to his glory days managing Sheffield United. He talks about his three years spent at Crystal Palace, his time at QPR and his present job of managing Leeds United.

Last and by no means least we also have episodes from athletics legends Kriss Akabusi and Derek Redmond, former England wicketkeeper Jack Russell and the most successful superbike champion of all time, the legend that is Carl Fogarty.

More great titles to come next month and with over 70 episodes now available there is something for everyone to enjoy.
